Description
Marc Thiriez, a middle aged Parisian, is taking a bath and asks his wife if he should shave off the moustache he has sported for most of his adult life. His wife, Agnès, wryly comments that she wouldn’t recognize him without it. As she leaves, Marc shaves the moustache off. He is disappointed when neither Agnès nor any of their friends notice the difference – but then they reveal that as far as they’re concerned, Marc has never had a moustache. As he searches for evidence of his former facial hair, he discovers that there are other details of his life that only he remembers.
