About

The newly updated and relocated Trinity College DVD library has over 2,500 titles for you to borrow. It has an extensive collection of LGBT+, French New Wave and art house films, ranging from the silent 1927 German masterpiece ‘Metropolis’ to the 2019 South Korean dark comedy thriller ‘Parasite’. Within the collection are essential classics, rediscoveries from the history of British film and TV and the very best in World cinema.

No DVD/Blu-ray player? No problem.

The Library has external DVD/Blu-ray drives to borrow. We also have a large Film and Cinema book collection just around the corner. So, if it’s watching Laurence Olivier’s ‘Henry V’ for your English studies or having friends around for a drink to watch ‘Withnail & I’, come in and have an explore of this awesome collection.

Film cover images: we’re somewhat limited by copyright restrictions as to what images we can show; that’s the reason for the colourful covers based on the same template.  Luckily there are a considerable number of images in the public domain and under licence (via our catalogue VuFind) that we have been able to use to add to the visual experience.
