Description

Margaret Schlegel inherits the grand house Howards End as part of the estate of Ruth Wilcox, an upper-class woman whom she had befriended. Ruth’s aristocratic industrial husband Henry Wilcox contests the will, appalled at the prospect of Howards End becoming the home of middle-class bohemians Margaret and her sister Helen.
