Description
A13-year-old peasant boy named Florya joins a group of Russian partisans, but they leave him behind in their camp when they set off to fight the Germans. He befriends a young girl called Glascha, but the two are caught in the midst of an air raid which leaves Florya nearly deaf. When they return to their village they find that it has been completely destroyed, and Florya decides to seek revenge.
