Description
The events of this opera take place over the course of a single day. Count Almaviva is a scheming womanising bully, who is persistently trying to exercise his ‘droit du seigneur’ – his right to bed a servant girl on her wedding night – with Figaro’s bride-to-be, Susanna. Figaro, Susanna, and the Countess Rosina conspire to embarrass the Count and expose his scheming.
