Description
Under Nazi occupation, an elderly Frenchman and his niece are forced to provide accommodation for a deluded German lieutenant, Werner von Ebrennac, who believes the war will establish a new sense of brotherhood between France and Germany. His visit to Paris forces him to confront the true nature of the occupation.
