Olivier is a small-time crook, who offers to fix the plumbing for a woman named Ariane. When he learns that the landlord downstairs is away he takes the opportunity to burgle him, and discovers that downstairs Ariane has a torture chamber — she is a professional dominatrix. At Ariane’s request, Olivier assists her with her work and the two fall in love, but Olivier struggles with her sado-masochistic activities.
