Description
In the American South in the 1930s, spoiled, naive Grace sees that the Manderlay cotton plantation is run as if slavery was never abolished. With the help of her father’s servants, she takes over the plantation and decides to teach everyone about democracy. But almost all of her pupils prove to be fickle, dumb, and selfish, and her ignorance about agriculture creates more problems than it solves.
