Filmed in mainland France, the Caribbean Islands and Senegal, this film explores the ‘question noire’ that arises today in France, through a survey and archive images. It retraces the historical events that link France to the Black community, in order to understand how slavery, colonisation and immigration impact on Black identity construction and representation.
