Description
The first in Polish director Andrzej Wajda’s underground trilogy that documented the experiences of the Polish people under Nazi occupation. Stach Mazur is a young Pole who becomes involved with the resistance through his love for Dorota. As the Nazis tighten their grip on the country, their retribution for acts against them becomes harsher, while the resistance movement itself is torn between the various political factions.
