Description
Burt Lancaster is Ned Merrill, the troubled surburbanite who one summer morning decides to ‘swim’ home from a neighbour’s swimming pool via the pools of his wealthy friends. Along the way he encounters several women from his past. Ned’s journey is one of embarrassments, humiliation and passion as he passes from one scenario to another until he arrives home … to a startling self-revelation.
