The second part of Kozintsev’s famous ‘Maxim trilogy’ which tells the story of the Bolshevik revolution and its aftermath through the eyes of Russian ‘everyman’ Maxim. Now a Marxist agitator going by the name of Fyodor, Maxim organizes strikes against the production of military equipment, culminating in open revolt against the Czarist forces.
