Description
A documentary following a day on the historic railway line. It starts at dawn in Glasgow and Mallaig, and, alternating between the two, follows the workings through the day finishing at dusk. Despite this impressionistic approach West Highland is extremely factual about the trains, the railway staff and the scenery, and the human interest involves a wide audience.
