Description
Description
During WWII, a ship carrying 50,000 crates of whisky is wrecked on an island in the Outer Hebrides. The locals, who have been deprived of “the water of life” due to wartime rationing, manage to salvage several boxes before the ship sinks. A battle of wits ensues when authorities from HM Customs and Excise arrive and try to confiscate the liquor.
